A Future with Employment Possibilities….

I have been following the “The Autism Project”  in the Toronto Star newspaper.  This includes a variety of interesting articles documenting various aspects of autism, the impact of current policies, and gaps in services.  Of note, I found an article by by Kate Allen, Toronto Star staff reporter,  to be inspirational and exciting for the future of many children with Autism.

To summarize, the article describes two companies who have successfully focused on hiring persons with disabilities in effort to break down barriers and offer them independence. The goal is to change the employer’s mindset on their hiring processes to provide opportunities for all.  Amazing!
