HG Educational Consulting
Heidi Girvan is an educational consultant who provides a hands-on, bespoke, concierge and advisory service for parents of children experiencing educational challenges. Heidi understands how overwhelming and emotional it can be navigating through educational challenges to find the “best fit” professionals, interventions and schools.
Whether it be advocating for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP); understanding your child’s Psychoeducational Assessment; finding a tutor or specialized school; or helping connect you to the “best fit” professionals – Heidi will coach and guide you every step of the way!
Learning Disabilities of Toronto
The Learning Disabilities of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization that provides programs and support for children, youth, and adults with AD(H)D and LDs. We have four locations for various programs: Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough and the Beaches. Our programs include: Friendship club, Smart Kidz Tutoring, Keyboarding, Assistive Technology, YMCA Youth Group and our
Young Adult Group. All of our programs are designed to encourage and increase the confidence of our participants. We reach this goal through providing them with support, guidance and understanding.

Conductive Education
March of Dimes Canada offers a unique rehabilitation program named Conductive Education®, designed to help children with neurological motor disorders who may be delayed in reaching their developmental milestones. Our professionals who facilitate the classes – called conductors – work with parents and children to provide support, knowledge and empowerment to develop skills for everyday living.
Parents will learn how to continue to facilitate gross and fine motor skill development with their children in class and at home through fun and engaging activities they may never have imagined doing with their child.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities.
The Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario
The spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario provides an essential range of services for parents, families, youth and adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Their programs are rooted in the principles of self-help and personal support. In addition support and information for professionals in social services, medical, health, and education is available.
Geneva Center
Since 1974, Geneva Centre for Autism has been a leader in developing and teaching the most effective techniques for those affected by Autism/P.D.D. The Centre delivers services to enhance the lives of children and adults affected by Autism/P.D.D.
Canchild
CanChild is a centre for childhood disability research that seeks to maximize the quality of life for children and youth with disabilities and their families.
OT-Mom
This is an excellent website with pictures and instructions for parents who are looking for OT suggestions for activities at home for a variety of skills. Tracy Leroux is a pediatric OT based out of Hermanus, South Africa.
